Marty Noble
Marty weaves a fascinating tale, guiding us with her brush through the native cultures of the Americas. Whether Guatemalan, Mexican, Native American Indian, or the ancient cliff dwellings where they lived, Marty captures the color and textures of woven shawls, textiles and pueblo pottery of the indigenous people. Birds of paradise, cactus flowers, morning glories, hibiscus and calla lillies come to life and embellish the meditative sanctuaries where her subjects abide. These compositions inspire the sense of unity that one may feel while immersed in the peace of the desert, or in the reflection of a mission seen through the eyes of a serene indian maiden.
